Author’s Sunshine

Where is the moonlight?
Where are the glittering stars?
And the playful cloudlets?

Where is the gentle breeze?
Where are the falling leaves?
And the fragrant flowers?

Where is the night owl?
Where are the chirping birds?
And the moving shadows?

Am I a blind man walking in the dark?
Am I in too deep to miss the beautiful night?
Am I lost in the wilderness seeking my sunshine?
Or am I lost in love; floating in oblivion?

My soul burning in shattered dreams
Seeking a little solace and peace
I keep treading on the distant mirages
Hoping to find you in my beautiful oasis

And I found you!
My Sunshine…

Violent violets
Intriguing indigos
Moody blues
Calming greens
Exciting yellows
Hopeful oranges
Ravishing reds

A rainbow of emotions
Flooding my soul

When the storm is over
When the wild rain dies down
Your golden fingers wake me up

Warming up my sunken heart

I lie there, eyes closed
In total bliss and ignorance

Don’t let me fade away

Keep painting rainbows
My beautiful Sunshine
